The Playboy Senior is one of the best performing early pylon designs. Originally designed in 1938 by Joe Elgin, the Playboy Senior is still a very good flyer with a lovely glide and is able to climb in the merest sniff of thermic lift, given strong lift it can climb at a frightening rate and will soon have you putting down trim in to stop it disappearing altogether!
